About Us

Hey there! Firstly welcome to our blog. We are Sammy and H

We sat next to each other on our first day of college back in 1998 and have been friends ever since. Both of us have always loved making things, which comes in handy for our day jobs, Sammy runs her own online haberdashery shop and H works in education at a museumAs well as our own DIY's we have a passion for independent handmade products and the people that design them.

Check out our 'Make it' page for all our latest DIY's.

Find out more about the history of our friendship in our post Fifteen years of H and Sammy.

H is originally from a village near Reading but has lived all over the country, settling for a few years in London before heading to her current abode in Surrey. Sammy is a Berkshire girl born and bred. She now lives with her Husband and two cats not far from Maidenhead town centre where she runs her online store Sew Crafty.

The thing we love most about blogging is that as a duo you get the benefit of two points of view. We love a lot of the same things ~that's why we are friends~ but we also have our own opinions and styles. With over 50 years of crafting experience between us, we are always here to answer any crafting questions you might have.
